About Scott Ball

Born and raised in Appalachia. Fireflies, cicadas, and muggy summer days are in my blood. Photography helps me connect with people and places—helps me remember.

Currently based in Southern California, focusing on wilderness landscape photography, street vignettes, and visual storytelling from sustained backcountry journeys across the Sierra Nevada, Cascades, and Wind River Range.

Gear & Craft

Working primarily with a Canon R8 full-frame body and RF L-series primes and zooms, post-processed in Capture One, with physical archival editions printed in-studio on a Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-310 pigment printer across fine-art cotton rag and baryta papers.
